KHAS Academics and Students at IEEE World Haptics Conference!

17 July 2023

Our academics Asst. Prof. Mine Saraç-Stroppa (KHAS Mechatronics Engr.), Asst. Prof. Fabio Stroppa (KHAS Computer Engr.), and undergraduate students Nizamettin Taha Tanaçar (Electrical and Electronics Engr.), Ümit Şen (Mechatronics Engr.), Şafak Gün (Computer Engr.), Hüseyin Taner Yüksel (Computer Engr.) and Moaaz Hudhud (Mechatronics Engr.) participated in the “IEEE World Haptics Conference” held in Delft, the Netherlands between July 10-13.

Within the scope of the KHAS Education Model, our students can make presentations at conferences and publish articles by participating in the research programs of KHAS academics while they are still in the undergraduate program. Our students attended the “IEEE World Haptics Conference” with the academics they were involved in their research projects. Nizamettin Taha made a 10-minute podium presentation in front of 500 participants at the conference. Şafak, Taner, and Ümit gave poster presentations and answered the conference participants’ questions. Ümit, Taner, and Moaaz also worked as “student volunteers” in the conference organization.

The KHAS team came together with academics and students working in various fields at different institutions in Turkey and abroad at this conference, and they came back with brand new research ideas.

We congratulate our academics and students for their success.
